Certification Description
The RG qualifies personnel as Global Maritime Distress and Safety System Restricted (GMDSS) Radio operators for the purposes of operating GMDSS VHF radio installations including some basic equipment adjustments, on voyages that remain within twenty (20) nautical miles of shore. It also confers the operating authority of the MP.
