Expanding your knowledge of compliance issues and of the impact the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) has on business and clinical practices puts you in a position to contribute to the development of policies and procedures to meet privacy requirements in your organization. By pursuing the Center’s HIPAAA designation, you’ll examine policies and procedures; patients’ and individuals’ rights; guidelines on uses and disclosures of protected health information; and required documents, such as the privacy notice, authorization, and business associate agreement.
